Tech South West Members and Ambassadors will help to shape the plans for Tech South West in 2017.

Hear from keynote speakers, meet members and discuss the Tech South West priorities for the year ahead:

  • ‘Joining the Dots’ – Build a better-connected South West tech sector
  • 'Simply the Best' – Showcase, attract and retain top tech talent in the region
  • ‘Tech Transfer’ – Support greater commercialisation of our regional universities' research
  • ‘Teach Tech’ – Promote the importance of teaching STEM subjects, and better education-business collaboration,  to aid tech growth in the South West

Venue and Timings

Tech South West Connect 2017 will be held at blur Group’s HQ, on Exeter Science Park just off Junction 29 of the M5, on Wednesday 25th January 2017. The one-day event will begin at 10am and conclude at 1pm.

Keynote Speakers

Philip Letts

Philip is founder and CEO of Exeter-based blur Group and Chairman of Tech South West. Philip has run a string of high profile web ventures across the US and Europe, including an established Silicon Valley venture.

Kerry Burnham

Kerry is Headteacher at Exeter Mathematics School, a unique state-run initiative attracting students from across the South West, and is working with businesses on joint projects across the region.

Nick Sturge

Nick is responsible for the direction and operation of Bristol’s Engine Shed, is the Institute of Director’s South West Chairman and a key and active member of Bristol and Bath’s tech scene.

Toby Parkins

Toby is founding Director of Cornwall-based Headforwards, a company adept at attracting the very best talent. Supporting the community aspect of the tech industry has been a driving factor to getting involved with Tech South West.
